Overview
Hostinger has grown rapidly over the past few years, now serving over 29 million users in 178 countries. Their success is driven by a simple formula: low prices, modern infrastructure, and a custom control panel (hPanel) that makes managing your site straightforward.
Pricing
Hostinger's biggest draw is its aggressive pricing. The Premium plan starts at just $1.99 per month on a 48-month billing cycle.
- Single: $1.49/mo — 1 website, 50 GB SSD
- Premium: $1.99/mo (renews at $7.99/mo) — 100 websites, 100 GB SSD
- Business: $3.99/mo (renews at $8.99/mo) — 100 websites, 200 GB NVMe, daily backups
Performance
Hostinger uses LiteSpeed web servers with built-in caching (LSCWP), and it shows. Our test site recorded an average server response time of 327 ms — one of the fastest shared hosts we have tested this year. Average page load time was 1.4 seconds.
Uptime came in at 99.95% over 90 days, which is slightly below the industry leaders but perfectly acceptable.
Control Panel (hPanel)
Instead of cPanel, Hostinger uses their own hPanel. It is clean, well-organized, and easier to navigate for beginners. WordPress installation takes one click, and you can manage domains, email accounts, databases, and security settings from a single dashboard.
Customer Support
Hostinger provides 24/7 live chat support. We tested it four times and received responses within two to six minutes. The agents were helpful and clearly trained on common WordPress issues. Phone support is not available, which is a minor drawback for users who prefer voice calls.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lowest pricing in the market
- Fast LiteSpeed servers
- Intuitive hPanel dashboard
- Generous storage (100 GB on Premium)
- Free domain and SSL
Cons
- No phone support
- Best prices require long commitment
- Uptime slightly below top tier
- No free email on cheapest plan
Final Score: 4.4 / 5
Hostinger punches well above its price point. LiteSpeed performance, a clean interface, and the most competitive pricing in the shared hosting market make it a top recommendation for new bloggers watching their budget.
